Main Purpose of Job:
The Software Developer’s role is to design, develop, maintain, and enhance the Airspan Networks
4G/5G base station solutions. Responsibilities include understanding of requirements, System Design, development and support deployment/integration of the solution to ensure the requirements were met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize 4G/5G telecommunications solutions to meet the organization’s requirements and industry standards.
- Configure and troubleshoot network elements, including base stations, core network components, and related hardware/software.
- Technical System Expertise: To understand existing system design, how it operates, to debug or develop additional features upon it.
- Understanding of the building blocks, interactions, dependencies and tools.
- Develop automation scripts using Jenkins.
- Containerize applications with Docker.
- Technical Writing: Maintains knowledge of existing technology documents. Writes basic documentation for new features. Contributes clear documentation on multiple systems.
Education, Skills, Experience:
- Minimum 6+ years of hands‐on development experience for telecom related products.
- Hands on experience in C, C++ and any scripting language like Perl/Python/Shell.
- Experience in software development for embedded Linux/Posix based systems.
- Expert knowledge in various network protocols like SNMP, DHCP etc.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment automation.
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization of applications and services.
- Experience in LTE/NR protocol and other Radio Access Technologies is preferred.
- Experience with LAN/WAN, routing protocols, TCP/IP and security protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and get into technical discussions with R&D
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and manage parallel time‐critical tasks.
- BE/B.Tech Comp Science (Candidates from Electronics & Telecom with development experience will be preferred) or equivalent.
