Glenn Laxdal was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2023. He joined Airspan as President and Chief Operating Officer of the company in January of 2022, responsible for the product portfolio, global operations and services.
Mr. Laxdal comes to Airspan from Infinera where he served as senior vice president and general manager of products with responsibility for all operational aspects of Infinera’s product business. Prior to joining Infinera, Mr. Laxdal was senior vice president of Ericsson North America’s multi-billion dollar network products business overseeing strategy, product management and solution development. Mr. Laxdal also served as chief technology officer and head of strategy for Ericsson North America.
Prior to Ericsson, Mr. Laxdal served as vice president of global product management at BlackBerry and prior to that held executive roles in product management and operations at Airvana and Nortel.
Mr. Laxdal holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a BA in Economics and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Saskatchewan.
David Brant joined Airspan in January 1998 as Finance Director. He became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in January 2007. Between July 2000 and December 2005 Mr. Brant served as Vice President Finance and Controller. In December 2005 the Company transferred its Finance function to the United States, and he assumed an operating role leading the Company’s AS.NET division, broadening his experience across the operational functions of the Company. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Brant was employed by DSC in various financial roles, the last post as Director of European Accounting. He received a B.A. in Mathematical Economics in 1984 from Essex University and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Henrik Smith-Petersen joined Airspan in February 1998 as Senior Director in Sales. He became Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific in April 2000 and in February 2001 became President, Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Airspan, from July 1997 he was with DSC as Director of Business Development. In DSC he gained extensive experience developing new business and partnerships worldwide in the wireless telecommunication market. Before joining DSC, he worked for four years for AT&T’s Network Systems Group in Italy, where he developed AT&T’s operation systems business and later became Key Account Manager for Italtel, AT&T’s local partner in Milan, developing the Telecom Italia business. He received his B.Sc. in Business Economics degree from Copenhagen School of Economics in Denmark in 1990, and a M.B.A. from SDA BOCCONI University in Milan in 1992.

Paul Senior is the Chief Technology Officer at Airspan Networks, where he leads the development of next-generation 3GPP RAN strategies across public and private mobile networks. His work spans in-building systems, macro-class radios, and emerging use cases such as air-to-ground communications. A serial innovator, Paul was previously the Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Dense Air Networks, an Airspan spin-out focused on small cell and shared spectrum solutions.
With over 40 years of experience in the radio telecommunications industry, Paul has played a key role in the evolution of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks and the growth of mobile broadband. His career includes senior positions at GEC Telecoms, Plessey Research, Nortel, Alcatel, DSC Communications, and Airspan Networks, where he served in various roles — including CTO — from 1994 to 2021. He was instrumental in the founding of the WiMAX Forum in 2002 and remains active in several industry bodies focused on advancing 5G RAN innovation.
Paul also currently serves on the Advisory Board of UKTIN (UK Telecoms Innovation Network).
Shirish Nagaraj joined Airspan in 2025 as SVP of Global R&D. He previously held various leadership roles at Corning Wireless, overseeing systems engineering, R&D, product management, and business operations. His earlier career includes key positions at Bell Labs, Motorola, Nokia, and Intel in research, standards, and advanced technology development groups.
Shirish holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame and a B.Tech. from IIT Bombay, both in Electrical Engineering. He co-chairs the Neutral Host group at TIP and serves on WIA’s innovation council. He has authored numerous patents and publications and received multiple academic and industry awards for his work.
At Airspan, he leads system architecture and product development for small cells, virtualized baseband software, DAS and end-to-end wireless networking platforms, bringing deep technical insight, strategic vision, and proven tactical execution leadership in delivering cutting-edge wireless solutions.
Amit Jain is SVP/GM responsible for Airspan’s indoor wireless business, including sales, services and product management of its distributed antenna systems and enterprise small cells in North America.
Mr. Jain joined Airspan in September 2024 and led Airspan’s acquisition of Corning’s wireless business. He brings over twenty five years of experience in the radio access network industry. Prior to joining Airspan, Mr. Jain was the co-founder and chief commercial officer of Verana Networks, a venture-backed startup building an innovative 5G radio access network solution. Before that, Mr. Jain was VP, Product Management at Corning, responsible for Corning’s enterprise small cell product line.
He joined Corning through Corning’s acquisition of SpiderCloud Wireless, where he operated as VP, Product Management, Marketing and Business Development. Mr. Jain was one of the early employees at Airvana, where over a ten-year period, he led product management for 3G macro base stations, and started the company’s small cell business as its GM, and later head of sales, marketing, product management and services.
He holds an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, an MS in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Irvine and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Bombay.
Kyle is the SVP of Strategic Operations – leading Business Transformation, Marketing, and Strategic Programs across the company. He joined Airspan in 2021 as Sr Director of PLM and has held various roles leading Sales Engineering, Technology Strategy, and Customer Support. Prior to coming to Airspan, Kyle spent 20 years at Sprint and T-Mobile culminating with leading In-Building Small Cell Development teams for many years.
In that role, Kyle oversaw the development of multiple world-leading products – deploying over 2 Million small cell nodes and delivering continued innovation. Kyle holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University.
He enjoys cross-functional collaboration where technology, innovation, customer experience, and finance intersect.
Stefano Baioni is the General Manager for EMEA and Asia at Airspan Networks, bringing over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and networking industry. He oversees sales, business development, support, and operations across these key regions for Airspan.
Stefano holds both a BSc and a Masters degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Politecnico Milano.
He leverages his extensive technical expertise, customer service skills, and experience in network implementation and project coordination to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and innovation within Airspan Networks in EMEA and Asia.
He has successfully managed the deployment of major Airspan networks worldwide, including strategic projects for Tier 1 clients in India, Japan, and the US. Passionate about working in dynamic, competitive environments, Stefano thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering cutting-edge wireless solutions.
