Airspan M.A. 6200 DAS provides a platform for reliable coverage with all major U.S. carriers using less remotes, with lower costs and simpler architecture. The system uses a fiber-fed, low-power distribution network that is OEM agnostic and 5G NR ready; it reduces deployment time by up to 25% and installation and services costs between 10%-25%.

M.A. 6200 covers the entire spectrum increasing coverage for every enterprise. New advances in the 6200 DAS technology offer increased coverage, improved distribution with better efficiencies and new features that ease installation and deployment. The system offers flexibility in selecting the bands that are needed most by each enterprise, it covers:

• 600, 700, FirstNet & Public Safety, 850, 1900, 2100, 2300
• Full Band 2500 (194 MHz Configurable)
• CBRS (150 MHz Configurable)
• C-band (3450-3550 MHz & 3700-3980 MHz Configurable)

Access Unit (A3)

The Access Unit connects each mobile operator’s base station to the Distributed Antenna System’s signal distribution. The AU supports multi-operator and multiple technologies. One AU is required per sector and uses 3.50 inches or two RU of rack space per unit. Available for 48 VDC or 120-200 VAC power sources.

AU Cellular Details

• Supported modulation types are 3G, 4G (LTE), and 5G (5G-NR)
• Support SISO and MIMO Configurations
• Digital fronthaul network for DAS remotes uses Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI)

Expansion Unit (E3)

The Expansion Unit (EU) distributes multi-operator digital signal traffic to all attached remotes. As a neutral host interconnect it routes the Access Unit (AU) CPRI traffic to/from all remotes. Up to 5 EUs can be cascaded to an AU port to support large sector designs. Each EU is 1.75 inches or one RU of rack space. Available for 48 VDC or 120-200 VAC power sources.

EU Cellular Details

• Distributes downlink cell signals from AU CPRI stream and routes to remotes
• Collects uplink cell signals from remote CPRI streams, combines and routes to the AU
• EU is operator agnostic
• EU is independent of individual Mobile Devices

N3 Low-Power Remote

The E-62-N3RU is a low-power remote unit supporting cellular technologies on fiber optic cable using the CPRI protocol. The N3 is ideal for multi-operator, multi-band, static capacity distribution deployments of cellular services in small-to-medium coverage areas. The N3 supports up to eight frequency bands. The N3 converts an optical signal to RF and then transmits at the relevant 3GPP band and receives the analog RF signal, conditions it, and converts it back to optical for distribution to the Expansion Unit (EU3) or Access Unit (A3).

M3 Mid-Power Remote – Low Band

The E-62-M3-L RU is a mid-power remote unit supporting cellular technologies on fiber optic cable using the CPRI protocol. The M3-L is ideal for multi-operator multiband, static capacity distribution deployments of cellular services in small-to-medium coverage areas. The M3-L supports up to seven frequency bands starting from 600 MHz through 2.5GHz (B41) in SISO configuration. The unit also includes C-Band Antenna RF interface.

The M3 converts an optical signal to RF and then transmits at the relevant 3GPP band and receives the analog RF signal, conditions it, and converts it back to optical for distribution to the E3 or A3.

M3 Mid-Power Remote – High Band

The E62-M3-H RU is a mid-power remote unit supporting cellular technologies on fiber optic cable using the CPRI protocol. The M3-H is enabling 2.5 GHz Band or C-band static capacity distribution deployments of cellular services in small-to-medium coverage areas.

The M3-H is available in 3 main TDD configurations:

• 2.5 GHz (B41) – SISO
• 2.5 GHz (B41) 2 – MIMO
• C-band (B77 and B78) – SISO

Similar to other M.A. 6200 remotes it converts an optical signal to RF and then transmits at the relevant 3GPP band and receives the analog RF signal, conditions it, and converts it back to optical for distribution to the E3 or A3.
